Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige, who is currently facing a grand jury investigation in the United States following allegations of abuse, child trafficking and covering up crimes, is set to return to the UK next month to host the annual International Association of Scientologists (IAS) event.
According to a promotional poster, which was leaked to Scientology Business by an inside source, reveals the event will be held at Scientology’s UK headquarters at Saint Hill Manor, near East Grinstead on the weekend of 3rd – 5th November 2023.
The IAS event is the largest in the Scientology calendar and is an annual ‘celebration’ of Scientology’s accomplishments over the preceding year, with flashy graphics promoting their ‘social betterment programs’ and a black-tie Patrons Ball.
The star-studded event is usually held in a temporary structure with a capacity of thousands at their Saint Hill headquarters and is filmed and later broadcast to Scientologists around the planet through in-house production company ‘Scientology Media Productions’.
Scientology celebrities such as Tom Cruise have often been spotted at the IAS event dancing with parishioners at the ‘charity concert’, and are likely to attend this year. The November 2023 event will be the first such gathering of Scientologists in the UK since 2019 and will see thousands of parishioners from around the world flock to East Grinstead to hear Church leader David Miscavige speak.
Inside sources claim Mr. Miscavige is expected to fly to the UK in the coming weeks to host the event, having avoided public appearances since process servers attempted to serve him legal papers last year. However, the Church of Scientology is yet to publicly confirm or deny this.
