A new documentary exploring the Church of Scientology’s activities in the United Kingdom, including exclusive interviews with prominent ex-members is set for release later this year.
Last night, ex-Scientologist whistleblower and activist Alex Barnes-Ross released the trailer for a new documentary, which is advertised as coming in late 2025. The teaser featured interviews with Mitch Brisker, once the chief architect of Scientology’s global propaganda machine (Scientology Media productions), Janis Gilham-Grady, one of L. Ron Hubbard’s first ‘Commodore’s Messengers’ and Geoff Levin, who produced the music for the memorable 1980s Dianetics TV commercial.
Barnes-Ross has not revealed exactly when, or where the documentary is due to be released other than ‘2025’ but is likely to reach viewers in time for this year’s annual IAS gala, which takes place at Scientology’s UK headquarters some time in October.

Alex Barnes-Ross, who speaks out on Youtube under the name ‘Apostate Alex’, is an ex-Scientologist and vocal critic of Scientology’s abusive practices. He was formerly the Director of Public Book Sales at the Church of Scientology in London and now leads activism efforts in the United Kingdom.
Last month, The Observer published an extensive feature detailing the ‘Fair Game’ harassment he has received from Scientology as a result of speaking out.
