Irish Newspaper Apologises to Scientology

Last month, in what is possibly the best public apology ever made to Scientology, Irish satirical news media firm WWN released a statement following a legal threat from the Church’s public relations officer Karin Pouw.

When Waterford Whispers News was accused of hate speech by the Church of Scientology, it promised to issue a formal apology – and took the opportunity to showcase Irish humour at it’s finest.

Scientology has a reputation for sending media firms legal threats and accusing reporters critical of Scientology as being biased ‘religious bigots’ and spreading hate speech.
